World Cup Fever

Now if you know me you'll know I'm no football fan and I have no idea of the rules. I've never watched a game in my life but I've got the fever! I am now watching the England team and hoping for them the bring the cup home! I was born in 1966 when it last came home so maybe its appropriate for me to start watching.  I've decided that if England bring home the cup I'll do a full oil painting. Drawing with ink and snow.

As the seasons change and the snow has cleared, its time to reflect on some of the work I have been doing over the winter. After moving to the Clyde valley I have been going on long walks getting to know the area. I take a sketchbook and some drawing bits but the ink pens have inspired me the most this year. I have been able to quickly record the area and use the snow as a blending medium. This helps keep the images fresh and lively.
