Tour of Blossoms - Cycling Painting

This year I decided to give painting the Tour de France a break but one image stuck in my head! The yellow jersey of Geraint Thomas in a field of sunflowers caught my imagination and gave me a starting point to create this new painting. Ive used a palette knife to layer up the sunflowers and cyclist. He went on to win!
