The sounds of silence. Alone on the Moors - Landscape painting

Garth loves the North York Moors near his home. He walks the hills and drives into the national park to draw and sketch. The ideas are built up using sketches and pastel drawings.He then translates these to a bigger scale in oils back in the studio.  He aims to capture a feeling rather than exact realism and to give a sense of place. One of the best things is not coming across another person for hors on end.
