Peterborough Parish Church (named after St John the Baptist) is the historic Parish Church for Peterborough.
 
The church is situated in a prominent position in the heart of Peterborough's Cathedral Square and is an iconic feature of the city centre.  It has been a living heritage of faith serving the people of the city since 1407.

I painted this plein air on on of the hottest days of the year. It shows up the shadows and gives great contrast with the bright sky.
