Poppy the Artists Dog - Dog Painting

Poppy often used to come and visit me in my studio. When she went on Holiday with her owner and this was painted from a wonderful image of Poppy on the wet beach. I have used negative space to highlight Poppy against the wet sand. I glazed the entire painting with old tea to give the sand depth.
