The Final stage of a Thrilling Race - Top Stage 6 2025

Stage 6 brought the 2025 Tour of Britain to a dramatic close with a fast and feisty run from Newport to Cardiff. The breakaway tried their luck, but the sprinters’ teams kept everything tight heading into the capital.

In the final dash, Olav Kooij showed his trademark kick, blasting past the bunch to take the stage win — his third victory of the race. Behind him, Sam Watson and Fred Wright rounded out the podium.

As for the overall? Romain Grégoire kept his nerve, finishing safely in the lead group to seal the green jersey and overall victory. His margin was razor thin — just 2 seconds ahead of Remco Evenepoel, with Julian Alaphilippe in third — but it was enough to crown him champion.

A punchy finale to a race that delivered climbs, sprints, and a GC battle that went right to the wire.
