Garth Bayley's Open Studio: A Celebration of Art, Movement, and Nature

I’m thrilled to invite you to my Open Studio event on November 2nd and 3rd, as part of the North Yorkshire Open Studios! This special weekend will give you an exclusive opportunity to step into my creative space, see my artwork up close, and explore the stories and inspirations behind my paintings.

What to Expect

Whether you’re a long-time collector, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about the creative process, there’s something for everyone. My art is deeply rooted in themes of movement, nature, and energy, which you'll find in my landscapes, horses, dance, and cycling pieces. Each of these works is a reflection of my passion for capturing the beauty and rhythm of life, and I’m excited to share them with you.

Landscapes:

North Yorkshire’s breathtaking scenery is a constant source of inspiration for me. From sweeping moors to quiet countryside views, my landscape paintings aim to evoke the serenity and majesty of nature. You’ll see how I blend light and colour to bring the environment to life on canvas.

Horses:

The powerful elegance of horses is a recurring theme in my work. Their dynamic movements and graceful forms are captured in bold brushstrokes and expressive colours. These pieces embody the spirit and energy that horses exude, whether they’re galloping across fields or simply standing still in their natural beauty.

Dance:

Dance is another motif that I love exploring through my art. Movement and emotion come together as I translate the fluidity of dance into vibrant, expressive works. The paintings aim to capture not just the physical motion, but also the freedom and joy of dancing.

Cycling:

As a celebration of human energy and endurance, my cycling art focuses on the raw power and rhythm of cyclists in motion. Whether it's a group racing through a winding road or an individual navigating the landscape, my cycling paintings are filled with action and movement that reflect the intensity of the sport.
