I recently went on a road trip and was struck by two things. 1) a painting in the Bristol museum painted on a black background which is the opposite of the normal impressionists 2) The majestic Welsh mountains nearSnowdonia I have combined the two and finding black gesso on the shelf staring at me meant this was a task that was destined to happen. I am very happy with the result
