Strutting with Ostriches

In society role models have changed but there is still a very specific set of rules to show who you are. The ostriches are male as they black and white and this shows their plumage. Modern man is much more ambiguous and the dancers could be either sex but all the inspiration comes form male ballet dances. We as a society keep reinventing ourselves but showing off will always be in our make up.This painting is oil on canvas with heavy textured palette knife work on the ostriches.
