I was a chef for many years and now as an artist my kitchen is still a place I love to spend time in. Whether getting an early morning caffeine hit, enjoying a lazy weekend lunch, gathering the family or hanging out with friends, the kitchen is a room that provides the backdrop for so many aspects of everyday life, but is so often overlooked when it comes to hanging artwork. A few carefully chosen pieces can really transform this space and make it the very heart of your home! I have a large cyclist and a landscape in my kitchen. Art in the kitchen needn't be all about food but can encompass you hobbies and personal tastes.
I know there is a concern of hanging art in a kitchen but most glazed oils and pictures behind glass should be fine in most domestic kitchens. We no longer cook on open fires!
