Hello everyone! Garth here, and I'm thrilled to be opening my studio doors to you as part of this year's North Yorkshire Open Studios. I'd love for you to come and experience the space where my ideas take shape, and my canvases come to life.
I'll be welcoming visitors on:

My studio, right here in Stokesley, is where I spend countless hours immersed in the process of creating. It's a personal space, filled with the tools of my trade, works in progress, and the energy that fuels my artistic journey. I'm excited to share a little piece of that with you.
For those unfamiliar with my work, I often explore the local landscape, horse and cyclists and dancers. My work is caricaturised by colour and movement. Ill also have greeting cards and tea towels for sale. The kettle is always on and you may get to see me at work. Opening my studio as part of North Yorkshire Open Studios feels like a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow art enthusiasts and share the stories behind my pieces.
During your visit, you'll get a chance to:
- See my latest artwork up close and personal.
- Gain insight into my creative process – from initial inspiration to the finished piece.
- Ask me questions about my techniques and the ideas that drive my work.
- Experience the unique atmosphere of my working environment.
· Not all my work is on my website so you will find hidden gems
- Be part of the vibrant North Yorkshire Open Studios community.
- The tour of Britain women’s race will be on during the first weekend so a great time to pick up a cycling painting
- The Stokesley Open Gardens is open the second weekend so a great time to combine flowers in art and in life.
I truly value the connection with those who appreciate art, and I'm looking forward to meeting you and sharing my passion. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply curious about the artistic process, I extend a warm invitation to visit my studio.
