Driving the Moors

Spending time driving over the North Yorkshire Moors gave me a profound sense of peace. My most overwhelming moment was standing on the roadside early one morning and just being surrounded by a deep silence. It puts a perspective on everything.

This painting is based on this spot but its a mixture of place and memory.
